Faraj Abu Harit had to migrate with his wife and six daughters from his village in Hama countryside to this camp in the north of Idlib.

Little Riim… During one of our field visits, he greeted us with a smile that never left his face. He talked about his big dreams. He wants to become a doctor and treat people. Hardworking, successful, calm and full of hope.
“Abu Ahmed”, displaced from the countryside of Hama, who and his family reside in a camp in the north of Syria, used to suffer long in order to bring water to his home. Sometimes, when outside the house, his children and family take over to fetch water. Moreover, Garbage spreads and waste accumulates in the camp due to the lack of containers, causing epidemics and diseases, especially with water shortages.
Recent storms uprooted IDP tents, and the tent is not a safe haven. hardly protects IDPs from rain, and heating means inside the tent are very dangerous, because it is made of fast-burning plastic.
Young Ahmed Mohammed came to “Ataa Specialist Centre to rehabilitate spinal cord damage” in a terrible state, paralysed and dependent on people for all his private work, having fallen from the third floor while working with wood carpentry.
Rafid al-Magouni, from Idlib province in Syria, is the father of four children, bombed by warplanes, lost his right hand and lost his sight in one eye. He traveled to Turkey for treatment, and began looking there for a way to secure his livelihoods and his family. He and his family have no source of income other than his work.
