The protection department within the project of “WFP” in ATAA Association organized an exhibition for women in the northern Syrian camps to showcase household products and to support women and highlight their role in society, in the week of Rural Women’s Day and World Food Day.
The exhibition was held on Sunday, October 20, and showcased a range of handicrafts for women living in the camps.
Their works included sewing, wool, embroidery, hand paintings and plastic paintings, as well as a department for canned food and home-made food.
The aim of the exhibition is to promote the products of women who work in these fields to reduce the burden of living for them by promoting their products, selling them and securing a financial return for them.
Rural Women’s Day is on 15 October, and the United Nations celebrates each year witnessing the efforts of women working in agriculture.
