Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Leadership:
- Preparing and updating the financial structure and departmental work plan in alignment with the organization’s strategy.
- Preparing annual budgets in coordination with relevant departments and ensuring their effective allocation and implementation.
- Developing and updating financial policies and procedures in compliance with the organization’s requirements, local regulations, and donor standards.
- Overseeing the financial year-end closing process and issuing the final financial statements.
Financial Control and Reporting:
- Reviewing and approving all expenditures and ensuring proper documentation and compliance with internal controls.
- Overseeing the preparation of periodic financial reports for the General Director and donors.
- Reviewing internal and external audit reports and ensuring the implementation of recommendations.
Financial Team Management:
- Supervising the fair and efficient distribution of tasks within the Finance Department.
- Overseeing the performance of sub-departments (Accounting, Budgeting) and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Supporting capacity building for the finance team through training, supervision, and mentoring.
Relations and Coordination:
- Representing ATAA Association and the Finance Department in internal and external meetings with donors, beneficiaries, and partners.
- Coordinating continuously with other departments to fulfill their financial needs.
- Communicating with regulatory, governmental, and auditing bodies to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Systems and Development:
- Supporting the digital transformation of financial operations to enhance transparency and efficiency.
- Participating in the development of financial information systems.
General Administrative Duties:
- Participating in recruitment, performance evaluation, and capacity-building planning in collaboration with the HR department.
- Preparing and updating job descriptions for financial department staff and monitoring periodic performance evaluations.
