ATAA Vocational Institute continues to train and rehabilitate more than (188) male and female students in northern Syria in its third batch, which began in the sixth month of this year. The institute’s project began more than two years ago by building the institute’s structure in the Qah region, where the camps are spread on the Syrian-Turkish border, with the support of the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charitable Society. After the construction of the institute was completed, it was started in cooperation with the Dutch organization Spark and the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charitable Society. The institute aims to empower and qualify cadres to enter the labor market, and to provide opportunities for young people who did not have the conditions to complete their education in order to transfer them from consumers to producers in society. The institute includes theoretical and practical rooms equipped with the latest technologies and equipment that students need in training, and 12 professions are taught in the institute, which are: (electrical installations, sanitary installations, maintenance of household appliances, maintenance of motorcycles, maintenance of smartphones, maintenance of computers, maintenance and installation of energy systems Sunshade, motor winding, sweets and pastries, men’s haircuts, in addition to women’s haircuts and sewing. It is noteworthy that (3%) of the registered students are people with special needs, as the number of registered students reached (352) male and female students, (330) of them graduated in two batches last year (2020), and 40% of them were able to open their own projects after training.
