Many families in Syria stand helpless, suffering from a deadly mix, due to lack of income. Is it a priority for food essential to life, or for heating materials to prevent winter cold? Or to dress for the joy of Eid? In Syria 12.4 million people suffer from food insecurity, 1.3 million of whom are severely food insecure according to the World Food Programme (WFP)
For these reasons Ataa works through its food security programme, mobilizes all its energies and teams to reduce poverty by facilitating regular access to food for those in need, enhancing their ability to obtain a stable source of income by supporting agricultural and animal production projects and sustainable livelihoods, as well as raising the nutritional level and preventing malnutrition for children aged 6 to 23 months, by offering specialized nutritious foods
